The Sunny Set: #130

Each week I focus on one of my goals from The Sunny Set. I’m excited to say that I’ve already accomplished this week’s goal!

 #130: Get my fortune read.

As I will discuss in later posts, my mom is studying to become a hypnotherapist. Even though pop culture makes it seems like a “stand on your head and do 10 jumping jacks” kind of concept, my mom focuses on the healing aspect of hypnotherapy, such as helping people with phobias, addictions, and so on. Yesterday she was working at a Holistic Therapy expo and I went to visit her. Low and behold, there was a psychic there!
I nervously sat down and watched this man as he closed his eyes and shook his head back and forth. After he had sensed my “aura” which is supposedly white and pink (that seems to make sense) he told me what he saw regarding my career and my relationships. He saw that I was a ballet dancer, that I love to write, and that I am extremely grateful. I believe all of these statements are true. He even mentioned the word “sunshine” which I found extremely impressive, considering the project is titled “The Sunny Side Up”. He envisioned me on my bed writing with my big window and the sun shining through; this happens on a daily basis. He said that I have already started what I want to do with my life and that I am a runaway train filled with passion, excitement, and devotion- that I am meant to do what I am currently doing. He saw me giving presentations and teaching others. As for my relationships…that is between me and the psychic!
I left feeling so pleased and excited about what he had said. Maybe he was just flattering me, but I genuinely feel like he sensed my core identity. I felt so connected to him just because he seemed to know my past, present, and future. And while I’m known for being a bit gullible at times, I genuinely believe he had a special gift. This does not mean that I am blissfully ignorant; instead I prefer to be open to new ideas and ways of thinking. I thought it was a very fun experience and I’m glad I did it.

What goal will you work on this week?
