True Colors: Are You Gold?

We’ve all heard Phil Collins “True Colors” song (or perhaps Cindy Lauper’s faded rendition)--it’s even been sung on Glee. I think the song has a wonderful message that reminds us to love every person just the way that they are; "I see your true colors shining through…beautiful, like a rainbow.” I was reminded of this recently when I attended a workshop that identified different personalities with different colors. The test was spot on. While it would take too long to share what each color meant in one post, I’ll share one each week so that you can see which color you are. Knowing whether you’re a gold, a blue, a green, or an orange, will help you not only increase your own happiness by understanding yourself a little better, but you’ll also bring happiness to others by learning how you can help them based on their color.

Gold:

Words that describe gold: traditional, responsible, sensible, dependable, loyal, organized, cooperative, concerned, conventional, orderly, caring
Does this sound like you? Or do you know a gold?
Golds like to follow the rules and they like to belong. They are prepared and thorough and they value home, tradition, and family. They believe that work comes before play and they like stability. In love, they want a mate that they can have a stable and secure relationship with.
How to make a gold happy:
1. Be on time, because they will be!
2. They are generous in giving but they like things returned.
3. Respect their need for security.
Share some happiness with a gold today! I’m actually half gold myself so I found this to be quite helpful!
Keep shining,
